Does the library provide access to Pitchbook, or something similar?
Pitch book

Answer

Sorry, Lauinger Library don't have Pitchbook or Chruchbase.  This is for a variety of reasons, the main one is the cost.

This is my standard answer.

"The Library doesn't have Crunchbase (CBInsight) or Pitchbook.

Depending on what you are doing:

If you want estimates of the financials of private companies, use Privco.

If you are looking to see what VC/PE funds invest in what companies or who funded a private company, use S&P NetAdvantage (type in the fund or company name in the search box)

Note, we have the Finance Research Guide and the Company Research Guide.

The Library of Congress does have access to Cruchbase.  However, you have to go INTO the physical Library of Congress, Adams Building (behind Main LC (Jefferson) building) https://eresources.loc.gov/search~S9/m?SEARCH=Company+and+Industry

Pitchbook and Crunchbase costs are high and the Terms & Conditions (License) are not very favorable for academics.

If you want to Zoom with the Business Librarian find a good day or time."
