New York Times access

New York Times access
Hope you are well. Has there been any progress on giving access to New York Times for Students and faculty? There are many articles that need to be assigned to students that are topically relevant. It becomes a problem to do so. Is there any possibility to have Georgetown Library purchase academic access to New York Times?

Answer

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, the New York Times (nytimes.com) is prohibitively expensive for libraries to license because the NYT's business model is geared toward selling individual subscriptions. We do have access to New York Times content through a number of our databases, which are linked from this HoyaSearch record. Please note that these databases include the articles from the print edition of the New York Times and not articles that were only published at nytimes.com.
