Does the library have any searchable records of famous or notable speeches/transcripts?
I saw that Virginia Tech had a search service (http://www.lib.vt.edu/find/byformat/speeches-transcripts.html) and would like to know if Georgetown had any similar services.

That's a useful page that Virginia Tech has made! The library doesn't anything similar that brings together all of its speech/transcript databases, but Georgetown does have access to many of the resources listed on VT's page, including LexisNexis and CQ Press.
Some GU-specific resources recommended for looking at famous speeches, both current and historical:
- LexisNexis Academic and Factiva are two news databases that provide recent transcripts from CNN, NBC, ABC, NPR, and other news media.
- Films on Demand, a searchable video library, provides coverage of some important speeches -- for example, Kennedy's speech in Berlin. You also might enjoy their Great Speeches collection.
- Vital Speeches of the Day is a journal the collects print transcripts of important speeches. We have online issues back to 1934.
Although it's not specific to GU (and very focused on political speeches), browsing through CSPAN's Video Library could also be useful.
