How do I check-out something from WRLC?

Answer

Status "Available"

Use HoyaSearch to locate the book you want and open its record by clicking on the title link.  After signing in, click on "Consortium request." Choose a pick-up location and enter any special instructions. Click on the "Send Request" button. You will be notified via email when books recalled, searched, pulled, or retrieved from off-campus storage are available for pickup at the location you have selected. You will receive an email or a print notice when an item you recalled is ready for pickup. You can check the status of your requests in your Library Account. Materials usually take at least two business days to arrive and are held at the Circulation Desk for ten business days.

Status "Lib Use Only"

Use this form to request "Library Use Only" materials (dissertations, theses, media, and journal volumes) located at the WRLC Center that cannot be requested through the library catalog. Materials requested must be used within the library and can not be checked out. You will be sent an email when the materials have arrived.

For items marked "WRLC-Request in Special Collections," go to the Booth Family Center for Special Collections on the 5th Floor of Lauinger Library. Staff there will request the item/s for you. Please allow at least two working days for the item/s to arrive. Materials requested must be used in the Booth Family Center for Special Collections following all Special Collections policies and procedures. For more information, please see Using Special Collections and/or contact a Special Collections staff member.
