COVID-19: May I come into Lauinger Library?

Answer

As of January 4, 2022, you will be allowed to come into Lauinger Library if you are:

  • an undergraduate student at Georgetown with a valid GOCard (Mobile Credential or a physical GOCard),
  • a graduate student at Georgetown with a valid GOCard
  • a faculty or staff member at Georgetown with a valid GoCard

PLEASE NOTE: The GU360 or green badge is no longer a valid ID to enter the Library.

As of June 8, 2022: Masks are optional. All individuals’ decisions regarding masking should be respected, we ask that you show your colleagues and fellow Hoyas care and respect.

 

Visitors to the Library

Georgetown University Library is currently closed to external community members and guests, with limited exceptions. External visitors will be permitted to enter Library facilities for limited activities such as tours for prospective students or faculty members, brief meetings with Library employees, or special events. These activities will take place in designated areas with specific time limitations, and will not involve the use of Library resources or services.
