Can I access other libraries (e.g., American, GW, Catholic, etc.) as a graduate student? Can I check out/request books from them?

Answer

Absolutely! As a GU student you're part of the Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC), which allows you to use materials from Washington-area academic libraries. You can borrow books in person at WRLC libraries, or you can request that materials from other campuses be delivered to GU through the WRLC loan service.

If what you need is not at Georgetown but is available at a WRLC library, bring up the title of your book in HoyaSearch and then select Consortium Request. The average delivery time for Consortium items is 2-3 days.
