How much does it cost to print or make a photocopy?

Answer

The costs to print or copy on any campus h.print device are as follows:

  • Monochrome (black & white): $0.03 per side

  • Color: $0.07 per side

There is no discount for double-sided (duplex) printing.

There is a free overhead book scanner located on the third floor of Lauinger Library, across from the desk at the entrance of the 3rd floor computing area.

Users with a Georgetown NetID will be able to quickly scan pages from books (two pages at once!) or documents up to 17 x 24 inches. Scans can be saved to a USB drive, sent to any email address, or uploaded to Google Drive.

All printing in the Library is managed by UIS as part of PaperCut. Students may print to the PaperCut system using library computing stations, wirelessly using SaxaNet, or from USB (PDF, TIFF, and JPG formats only).

Georgetown University students, staff, and faculty MUST be connected to SaxaNet (and not GuestNet) to print from a laptop.

For more information on PaperCut, printer locations, printer drivers, pricing structures, and instructions on how to use the printers, visit the Printing at Georgetown with PaperCut site. For assistance, call the support line at 202-687-4949.
