There is a memorial to Joseph Mark Lauinger in the library lobby. It is located inside on the wall opposite the elevators. Although library construction commenced in 1967, the building was later dedicated to Joseph Mark Lauinger, a 1967 alumnus who died in Vietnam in 1970.
