Elsevier ScienceDirect: I see Georgetown University Medical Center, or no Georgetown at all -- what can I do?
When accessing articles on Elsevier ScienceDirect, you may be asked to sign in through Georgetown University Medical Center:

Alternatively, you may also see no institution listed at all, simply Access through your organization in the blue button.
In either case, you can't see or read full text of the article or book.
Answer
Change the organization in ScienceDirect to Georgetown University Library. To do this:
- Click Sign In in the top-right page corner:
- On the next screen you will be asked to pick your institution. Start typing "Georgetown" and (when it appears) choose Georgetown University Library:

Note that you may see several "Georgetown" entries -- be careful to select "Georgetown University Library"! - Click Submit and continue. You should be redirected back to your article, and should now see Georgetown University in the top-right corner.

If you have followed these steps and still cannot get access to the article, please contact E-Resources and Serials for further assistance.
