Can I use Lean Library with both GU Library and another library, like DML?

I have a Library access both at the Georgetown University Library (Main Campus) and at the Dahlgren Memorial Library (DML) at the Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC). Can I use Lean Library to access both Main Campus and DML journal subscriptions?

Answer

Yes! You can use Lean Library to access holdings from multiple libraries. To set up:

  1. Click the LL extension and then the gear icon (Settings)
  2. Underneath your first library (probably "Georgetown University Library") you'll see "Add extra institute." Click to open a second box, where you can choose another library.
    1. For Dahlgren/DML, look for Georgetown University Medical Center (DML).
  3. Now that you have both libraries selected, click Save.

Important: the TOP library (first option) will be the default for access. The second library will only be used if the first library doesn't have access. If you primarily access GUMC journals, we recommend setting the first library to DML.
