How do I copy data between ArcGIS Online Accounts?

Answer

Before Starting

Make sure that you have your login information for both ArcGIS Online accounts and know which projects you want to transfer

Process

  1. Go to https://ago-assistant.esri.com/
  2. Click Log in to ArcGIS Online
  3. On the login page, log in to the ArcGIS Online account that has the content that you want to copy.
    1. If this is a current Georgetown account, sign in with "Your ArcGIS organization's URL" and enter "georgetownuniv" in the box.
    2. If this is an old Georgetown account or another account that does not use your standard NetID login, enter your old username and password in the ArcGIS Login box.
    3. If this is any other kind of ArcGIS Online account, enter your username and password in the ArcGIS Login box.
  4. Your old account now appears in the left column. Clicking on the account expands the list to show all of the projects saved within.
  5. Now you need to log in to the account you will copy your old data into. Click on the "I want to..." menu.
  6. Select "Copy Content"
  7. When prompted to log in to the account you want to copy into, select "Another Account."
  8. Select "ArcGIS Online" as the destination.
  9. A pop up login window appears. Click the "Sign in with Enterprise Login" option.
  10. In the box ahead of “.maps.arcgis.com”, enter “georgetownuniv”
  11. Select the "Georgetown University" box to log in using your NetID and password.
  12. After logging in, the new account will appear in the right column.
  13. Drag any projects that you want to copy from the old account in the left column to the right column.
