Why is there a limit on the number of e-book pages that can be printed?

Answer

Each e-book provider can place limits on the number of pages that can be printed. Printing limits are used to protect the rights holder's copyright. These limits can be set by the provider or by the original publisher of the book. Some may allow users to print the entire book, others will limit printing to a set number of pages, still others do not allow printing. To learn if the e-book you're using allows printing, check the help documentation from the provider. If you still have questions, speak to a Georgetown librarian.
