Q. COVID-19: How do I return my library books?

Answer

1. If you are an international student out of the country, or have returned to an out-of-state residence, you can mail the books to our library. Mail To:

Georgetown University Mail Services
ATTN: ACCESS SERVICES DEPT.
Lauinger Library
3300 Whitehaven Street NW,
Washington DC 20007

2) In-person book returns will only be accepted at the Lauinger Library outside book drop. This book return slot is located to the left of the main library entrance and is open 24/7. You may return books from any library through this slot. For quarantine purposes, books cannot be returned at the Circulation Desk or at any other campus library drop box.

(Please note that any materials dropped off or mailed to the library will be quarantined for a minimum of 4 days and processing may be delayed due to the large influx of returned materials and diminished staffing due to COVID-19. All due dates are still being extended and no fines will be accrued.)
