We are revising the layout of our circulating collections in Lauinger Library this summer (2016) to make it easier for our users to browse the stacks. The new layout will feature:

  • Call numbers organized in a logical sequence, beginning with A on the 1st floor and ending with Z on the 5th floor.
  • Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language collections interfiled into their respective subject areas.
  • Periodicals and government documents on the compact shelving on the Lower Level.

This major shift will continue until June 30. During that time it may be difficult to find items on the shelf, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t available! If you see an item in the catalog that you would like to check out, put in a request to pick it up at Lauinger’s Circulation Desk, or, for Main Campus faculty, have it delivered to your office.
