Answer

A scholarly resource is a publication written by academics, researchers, or other scholars.  These publications communicate new research and scholarly ideas. They may be called ‘refereed’ or ‘peer-reviewed’ resources.

The library is full of scholarly resources--mainly books and academic journals. The Internet is full of uncertain sources-- use this criteria when determining if something is a scholarly or "popular" resource
