Q

If I requested a book from Howard University, will I be able to do remote renewal (eg. online) three times during the summer vacation?

I wanna borrow the borrow and bring it back to China to read for summer vacation. I wonder if the renewals can cover the three months' vacation.

Answer

Each remote renewal is 4 weeks, so conceivably, the remote renewals could cover the summer break period. However, every book is subject to recall after you've had it for 4 weeks, so if someone requested the book and you were in China, you would still be responsible for returning it on time. Recall fines are $5/day.
